Reporting to the Director, the Utility Asset Manager is responsible for the development of a comprehensive asset management program for KC Water’s Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater utilities. Working closely with KC Water Utility Officers and Managers, the Asset Manager will lead the efforts to evaluate existing asset management systems and tools and identify additional efforts to ensure critical infrastructure is maintained with the least cost of ownership to the Department while meeting ever increasing customer expectations. The ability to write concise and informative reports, analyze data; using Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) is required OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least 10 years administrative and supervisory experience in a progressively responsible nature. Must have a valid MO driver’s license in accordance with the City of KCMO. Preference given to applicants who have the following certifications: Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) or Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) and any MO Water or Wastewater Operator’s certification. Proficient in the use of CMMS, ArcGIS and Utility EAM software applications as well as knowledge of LOS/ISO 14001 and Asset Management/ ISO 55,000. Experience in water, wastewater or other wet infrastructure is also desirable.
